Exhilarating Vocal Music
from the Renaissance to the Modern Day
Ariose Singers performs a varied repertoire of vocal music. We are located in Santa Cruz, California, drawing skilled singers from the community and nearby universities. Our repertoire focuses on master works for small groups from ancient to modern.
Ariose was started in 2001 by Leta Miller of the University of California at Santa Cruz, and our director starting in the 2006 season is Michael McGushin. One of the original singers in Ariose, McGushin is known throughout the Santa Cruz community for his tireless work as a pianist, director, vocal coach, and composer for a variety of groups.
